Hardwood, Oak
Birmingham

At Davies Timber we have a massive range of hardwoods in stock – over 20 species in fact. All kiln dried in various thicknesses, widths and lengths so, simply tell us what you require and we will supply it.

We also stock a huge range of Green Oak wood beams up to a massive 12” x 12” of the shelf. We can also supply Air Dried Oak beams for that extra special job, project, decking or flooring purpose.

We specialise in machining hardwood too, to any dimensions that you require. Our highly skilled machinists use their years of experience to supply pretty much anything you request. We can cut, plane, shape, join, mould and sand to achieve your desired look and finish.

No job is too small or too large for our team. So whether it’s a single shelf right through to made-to-measure worktops we have the timber supplies and solution for you.

Around 95% of our hardwood is supplied from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) sources, which is testament to our commitment to supporting the environment in any way we can. By purchasing FSC certified products you are playing your own part in encouraging responsible forestry management.

Hardwood Flooring, Solid Oak Flooring
Solihull

As previously mentioned we have all manner of hardwood species available. These include traditional species such as Ash, Beech, Cedar, Cherry, Maple, European and American Oak, Poplar and Walnut, alongside more exotic species including Douglas Fir, Idigbo, Iroko, Sapele and Wenge.

Each of these hardwoods can be used in different scenarios – many of these are suitable for interior joinery and furniture production for example. Oak, Maple, Beech and Ash in particular are great for flooring, Cedar is ideal for exterior joinery and cladding whilst Idigbo is perfect for use in window and door manufacturing.

Hardwood flooring is warm to the touch too, and easy to clean. Even for people on a tight budget, choosing a sturdy option such as solid oak flooring will ensure your new surface is cost-effective and adds real value to your home.

But don’t forget, if you need any advice or assistance our team has a wealth of experience in the industry and would be only too happy to help.
